22nd Annual National Hispanic Women's Conference
PHOENIX, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In a continuing effort to empower Latinos across the nation, QuePasa Corporation is proud to sponsor the 22nd National Hispanic Women's Conference, the largest gathering of Latinas in the United States.
"QuePasa Corporation is at the forefront of Latina enrichment," says Robert B. Stearns, chairman and CEO of QuePasa Corporation. "Partnering with the National Hispanic Women's Conference allows us an opportunity to encourage solutions to social issues facing Latinas today." "Latina Power!" the theme of the conference, communicates the atmosphere in which women from across the nation will be inspired to develop professionally, personally and economically by 50 renowned presenters.
Over the course of two days, powerful Hispanic women will present educational seminars aimed to motivate professional Latinas in business. For example, Lydia A. Aranda, Vice President and Regional Diverse Growth Segments Director of Wells Fargo Bank will deliver a lecture on the powerful force of Latinas in the national political arena.
The National Hispanic Women's Conference will also host a Scholarship Benefit Luncheon rewarding 50 Latina students in celebration of their success. Last year, the luncheon attracted 2,700 individuals and raised $40,000 with the help of the 2006 Latina Empowerment and Visionary Award honoree, actress Eva Longoria, who auctioned off a lunch with herself on the set of Desperate Housewives. This year the luncheon expects a turnout of over 3000 attendees.
"Higher education for the Latino population is important to QuePasa Corporation and we are excited to be a part of a conference in which Hispanic women are empowered to "Make It Happen," says Stearns.
