MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its
outlook on Quality Distribution Inc. to stable from positive, saying the
company's weaker-than-expected earnings performance and the slowing U.S. economy
limit the likelihood of a rating upgrade over the near term.
At the same time, the agency affirmed its ratings on the company, including
the 'B-' long-term corporate credit rating.
The ratings on Quality Distribution -- the largest bulk tank truck carrier
in North America -- reflect its participation in a
low-margin, fragmented industry, combined with a weak, albeit improving,
financial profile.
