Q4 2007 RAJAR
The Local Radio Company Plc ("TLRC") announces that, according to Q4 2007 RAJAR
figures published today, total listening hours in Q4 2007 were 7.7 million.
This is an increase from 6.9 million hours in the same period of last year and
7.5 million hours in Q3 2007.
TLRC now has 927,000 listeners per week up from 924,000 a year ago. In Q3 2007
total listeners per week were 920,000.
Year on-year the Group has increased its total listening hours by 800,000.
In Q4 2007 our station Brunel fm, which covers the Swindon area, reported its
first listening hours of 130,000 and an audience of 14,000 per week.
Commenting on the figures, Richard Wheatly, Executive Chairman of TLRC, said:
"I am delighted that we have once again increased total listening hours across
our network of stations.
The increase, which is in excess of 10% year on year, further validates our
strategy of focusing on providing high quality broadcasting to local audiences
across the country."
