LONDON--Pharmaceutical company PureTech Health PLC (PRTC.LN) said Thursday that it has appointed Atul Pande as chief medical officer of the company.

Mr. Pande, who formerly was a senior adviser and head of neuroscience division at GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK.LN), will oversee all clinical operations, the company said.

Shares of PureTech at 0905 GMT trading 1.1% higher at 117 pence.
