(Vodafone) announced that KONE, a global leader in the elevator and
escalator industry, has chosen the Company's machine to machine
(M2M) remote monitoring technology to create a new diagnostics
service to schedule proactive maintenance tasks. The Company stated
that by agreeing to choose Vodafone's technology, KONE has replaced
multiple contracts it had signed with different telecom companies
around the world with a single global provider agreement. Vodafone
added that as part of the agreement, a Vodafone M2M SIM card will
be embedded into each KONE lift, enabling operational data to be
sent and received wirelessly over the Vodafone network, including
daily update logs with data such as the number of journeys and

(Nokia) announced that it has received the approval from the
Chinese regulators to sell its Devices & Services business to
Microsoft in a deal valued at $7.4
billion. The development, which brings the transaction on
track to be closed during the current month, sparked rally in the
stock (ADR) of Nokia on bourses. Nokia's stock gained 4.99% on the
day of announcement and also extended gains to the second day by
rising another 3.03% on April 9,
2014. Nokia informed that it has already received the green
signal from the European Commission and the U.S. Department of
Justice for the deal, and during the process, no authority
challenged its compliance with its fair, reasonable and
