After the releases of U.K. May industrial production figures and trade data at 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the pound rose against its major counterparts.

The pound is now trading at 1.5527 against the greenback, 123.09 against the yen, 1.5161 against the franc and 0.7926 against the euro.
