Pound Gains After U.K. Services PMI

Following the release of the UK Markit/CIPS services PMI data
for December and mortgage approvals for November at 4.30 am ET
Thursday, the pound rose against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.3543 against the greenback, 152.54 against
the yen, 1.3229 against the franc and 0.8885 against the euro
around 4:31 am ET.
