Pound Edges Up Against Majors

The British pound edged up against the other major currencies in
the pre-European session on Thursday.
The pound rose to 1.4546 against the U.S. dollar and 163.82
against the yen, from early lows of 1.4519 and 163.12,
respectively.
Against the euro and the Swiss franc, the greenback edged up to
0.7759 and 1.4139 from early lows of 0.7785 and 1.4099,
respectively.
If the pound extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around 1.47 against the greenback, 168.00 against the
yen, 0.76 against the euro and 1.45 against the franc.
