WARSAW--Poland's statistics office Friday upwardly revised its earlier estimate of fourth-quarter annual economic expansion to 3.1% from 3.0%.

The seasonally adjusted quarterly figure was also revised to 0.7% from 0.6%.

The fourth-quarter data showed that investments continued to drive growth in Poland, rising 9% on the year, but the growth rate was slightly lower than 9.9% in the previous quarter. Exports accelerated, rising 6.9% in the fourth quarter in annual terms compared to 3.8% in the third quarter.

Poland's domestic demand rose 4.6% in the fourth quarter while private consumption rose 3.1%.
