NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Plug Power Wednesday reported a third-quarter
loss of $15.2 million, or 17 cents a share, wider than the mean estimate of
analysts polled by Thomson Financial for a loss of 15 cents a share.
Revenue rose to $4.5 million, above Wall Street's consensus view of $$3.3
million.
In the same period a year earlier, the company lost $11.9, or 14 cents a
share, on sales of $1.8 million.
The Latham, N.Y., fuel cell company said it expects to fall short on its
goals of installing 400 GenCore systems and cutting manufacturing costs by 25%
in 2007.
The company announced Monday that it received an order from retail giant
Wal-Mart for its GenDrive forklift power units.
The stock rose 6 cents to $3.37 in recent trade.
