NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Plato Learning Inc. late Tuesday reported its
first-quarter net loss narrowed to $3.91 million, or 16 cents a share, from a
net loss of $4.53 million, or 19 cents a share, in the same period a year
earlier.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for a loss of
18 cents a share for the period.
Revenue for the period ended Jan. 31 fell 5% to $16.1 million from last
year's $17 million. Analysts had expected revenue of $15.7 million.
The stock of the Bloomington, Minn.-based developer of educational software
closed the regular session at $3.57.
