Placing of New Ordinary Shares
Universal Coal announces it has raised approximately £1.59 million by way of a placing of
79,444,877 new Ordinary Shares at a price of
2p each ('the Placing').
Application has been made for the new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM and it is
expected that they will be admitted on 1st October
2008. The shares will rank pari passu with existing Ordinary Shares in issue. Following
completion of the Placing, there will be 241,094,880
Ordinary Shares in issue.
