Expands Secure and Trusted Payment Solutions
Beyond Mail and Postage
Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that
provides innovative products and solutions to power commerce, today
announced the launch of its cloud-based payments engine designed to
integrate with third party shipping and ecommerce platforms to
deliver payments processing as part of a seamless digital
experience that offers terms, a consolidated invoice and flexible
payment options.
The Pitney Bowes payment solutions provide businesses the
flexibility to better manage their shipping spend by aggregating
all shipping transactions into one consolidated, itemized invoice
and easily control their cash flow through credit terms, including
the choice to pay now or later. By leveraging the Pitney Bowes
Bank, an FDIC insured institution charted in Utah, the company is
able to provide uniform payments products, lending terms and
interest rates in the U.S.
“For decades, Pitney Bowes clients have enjoyed the value and
convenience of our payment solutions, including Purchase Power and
Reserve Account, to manage and process billions of dollars in
postage,” said Ron Totaro, General Manager, Global Financial
Services, Pitney Bowes. “We are excited to expand our payments
capabilities to power new shipping and ecommerce offerings from
Pitney Bowes and select partners. With the rapid rise in parcel
shipping fueled by explosive growth in global ecommerce, our
payments platform will deliver greater convenience and power
innovative new solutions in the multi-billion dollar shipping
payments marketplace.”
Pitney Bowes has deployed its payments engine as part of its new
SendProTM multi-carrier office shipping solution, which enables
businesses to better manage their shipping among carriers –
including the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx and UPS – from one
platform with a consolidated view of shipments and costs to
flexible payment options with the USPS.
The Pitney Bowes payment solutions are an integral part of the
Pitney Bowes Commerce Cloud, a commerce enabler, providing access
to solutions, analytics and APIs across the full commerce continuum
with speed and agility to help clients identify customers, locate
opportunities, enable communications, power shipping from anywhere
