Petrel Resources Expects 3D Seismic Survey to Begin in 40 Days

LONDON--Oil and gas explorer Petrel Resources PLC (PET.LN) said
Wednesday it expects Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (WOPEY) to start a 3D
seismic survey of Frontier Exploration Licence 3/14 in the Irish
Atlantic Ocean in about 40 days.
Petrel has a 15% stake in the license, while Woodside is the
opertor. Petrel also has projects in Ireland, Iraq and Ghana.
Shares in Petrel Resources were up 8.8% at 4.625 pence a share,
resulting in a market capitlalization of GBP4.6 million or $6.7
million.
