In line with the above objectives, the Group has decided to
carry out the following organizational changes, effective July 1st,
2016.
1/ Simplification of the Americas region to concentrate on its
core business: the United States and Canada. The new entity will
have a direct representative on the Executive Committee (COMEX),
strengthening its focus on the US, the Group’s largest market.
2/ Creation of two new “Management Entities” aligned with the
Pernod Ricard EMEA model:
- With Mexico as lead market, together
with Venezuela, Colombia and Pernod Ricard Andes (Chile,
Peru);
- With Brazil as lead market, together
with Argentina and Uruguay.
The two new Management Entities will report to Pernod Ricard
EMEA and will leverage the region’s expertise on emerging
markets.
3/ Creation of a position of CEO, Global Travel Retail,
reporting directly to Headquarters. This new position will
reinforce coordination between the three Travel Retail regions
(Europe, Americas and Asia) and the domestic Travel Retail teams,
facilitate the rollout of best practices and improve the coherence
of Group initiatives in this priority distribution channel.
These operational changes will entail the following executive
transfers:
- Paul Duffy, currently Chairman
& CEO of The Absolut Company and a member of the COMEX, is
appointed Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard North America
and CEO of Pernod Ricard USA. Philippe Dréano, the current
Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard Americas, has decided to retire
after an exemplary career spanning 27 years with the Group.
Bryan Fry, currently Managing Director, Pernod Ricard USA,
is appointed Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Pacific
and will report to the Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard
Winemakers. He replaces Julien Hémard whose new appointment will be
announced shortly.
- Anna Malmhake, currently
Chairman & CEO of Irish Distillers and a member of the COMEX,
is appointed Chairman & CEO of The Absolut Company.
- Jean-Christophe Coutures,
currently Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard Winemakers and a
member of the COMEX, is appointed Chairman & CEO of
Irish Distillers.
- Bruno Rain, currently Managing
Director in charge of Group Human Resources & Corporate Social
Responsibility and a member of the COMEX, is appointed Chairman
& CEO of Pernod Ricard Winemakers.
- Cédric Ramat, currently VP Human
Resources for Pernod Ricard Americas, is appointed Human
Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility Director and will
become a member of the COMEX.
- Mohit Lal, currently Managing
Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia, is appointed
Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail in
addition to holding his current position, and will become a member
of the COMEX.
The two new Management Entities will be led by:
- Noël Adrian, Managing Director
of Pernod Ricard Mexico;
- Thibault Cuny, Managing Director
of Pernod Ricard Brazil.
Following these changes, the Group’s Executive Committee will
now include members of 5 different nationalities.

Biographies
PHILIPPE DREANOChairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard
Americas
Philippe Dréano graduated from ESSEC Business School. He joined
Pernod Ricard in 1989 as Marketing Manager at SEGM. In 1991 he was
appointed Regional Export Director for Pernod International and
later, in 1994, Managing Director of Perithai (now Pernod Ricard
Thailand). In 1996, he was appointed Managing Director of Pernod
Ricard Japan before becoming Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
of Pernod Ricard Asia in 2000. He has been Chairman & Chief
Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Americas since 1st July
2009.
PAUL DUFFYChairman & CEO of The Absolut Company is
appointed Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard North America and CEO
of Pernod Ricard USA.
Paul Duffy holds a Bachelor in Business Studies from Trinity
College and FCA. He joined Pernod Ricard as Assistant Finance
Director Treasury / Planning of Irish Distillers in 1994. In
January 1996, he was appointed Financial Controller Irish
Distillers Group, and became its Finance Director in March 1997. In
January 2001 he was appointed Managing Director of Pernod Ricard UK
and in May 2005, took up the position of Chairman & CEO of
Irish Distillers. In July 2008, he became President and CEO of
Pernod Ricard USA and since September 2012 he became the CEO of The
Absolut Company.
ANNA MALMHAKEChairman & CEO of Irish Distillers is
appointed Chairman & CEO of The Absolut Company.
Anna Malmhake holds a Bachelor of Social Science, Business and
Law degree from the University of Stockholm. She started her career
in 1991 at Procter & Gamble in Sweden and then joined The Coca
Cola Company in Stockholm at the end of 1996 where she held various
marketing positions.From 2001 to 2003, Anna worked for Motorola in
Sweden, London and Chicago. Returning to work in Sweden at the end
of 2003, she became Managing Director of Temo AB, a Swedish
consulting firm in the fields of consumer insights, opinion polls
and innovation. She joined the Absolut Company in 2007 as Global
Brand Director and, in September 2009, was appointed Marketing
Director of the ABSOLUT Company. Anna joined Irish Distillers as
Chairman & CEO on September 1st 2011.
JEAN-CHRISTOPHE COUTURESChairman and CEO of Pernod
Ricard Winemakers is appointed Chairman & CEO of Irish
Distillers.
Jean-Christophe Coutures is a graduate of ESCP Business School.
He joined Pernod Ricard in 1997 as Business Analyst at CSR Pampryl
before being appointed Chief Financial Officer of Pernod Ricard
Asia in 2000 and Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Korea in 2005.
In 2006, he became Managing Director of Jinro Ballantine’s Company
Limited (JBC) and Jinro Ballantine’s Import Company Limited (JBI
C). In 2008, he was appointed Head of Pernod Ricard Pacific. In
2010, he became Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the newly
created affiliate Premium Wine Brands, now Pernod Ricard
Winemakers.
BRUNO RAINManaging Director, Human Resources and
Corporate Social Responsibility is appointed Chairman & CEO of
Pernod Ricard Winemakers.
A graduate of HEC Business School, Bruno Rain joined Pernod
Ricard in 1987 as an Internal Auditor. In 1989, he was appointed
Finance and Administration Director of SEGM, before becoming Group
Chief Financial Officer in 1994. In early 1997, he was appointed
Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Argentina. In 2000, he was
appointed Managing Director of the Group’s Spanish subsidiary (now
Pernod Ricard España). He became Managing Director, Human Resources
on 1st September 2006. In 2010, he was also given responsibility
for the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policies:
Responsible Drinking, Environmental Responsibility and Social
Ethics.
CEDRIC RAMATVP Human Resources Executive of Pernod
Ricard Americas is appointed Human Resources and Corporate Social
Responsibility Director.
Cedric Ramat holds a Master Degree in HR Management from
Paris-Dauphine University. Prior to joining Pernod Ricard, he
worked at Microsoft as Training & Compensation Manager. In
1993, he joined Orangina France where he held successively the
positions of HR Manager, Regional Sales Director and HR Director.
After the merger of Orangina and Pampryl, he became Human Resources
& Information Systems Director of Orangina Pampryl in 1999,
before joining Ricard SA as HR Director in 2002. Since July 2008,
Cédric has been the Executive VP Human Resources of Pernod Ricard
Americas.
MOHIT LALManaging Director of Pernod Ricard Asia
Travel Retail is appointed Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard
Global Travel Retail.
Mohit Lal graduated from the Shri Ram College of Commerce in New
Delhi as a Business Science expert and accountant. After starting
his career within Nestlé India and managing Perfetti India’s
finances from 1996 to 1999, in November 1999, he joined Seagram
India as Financial Director, a position he held until 2006, the
company having been acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2001 and renamed
Pernod Ricard India in 2005. After serving as Irish Distillers’s
Financial Director from 2006 to 2011, he returned to India as
Managing Director of Pernod Ricard India in 2011. He was then
appointed Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia in
2015.
BRYAN FRYManaging Director Pernod Ricard USA is
appointed Managing Director Pernod Ricard Pacific
Bryan Fry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science from the
University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the
University of New England. He joined Orlando Wyndham Group in
February 1995 and was appointed National Agribusiness Manager in
1998 and Regional Manager Asia/Pacific for Orlando Wyndham in 2000.
Bryan was appointed Marketing Manager, Wyndham Estate in May 2004.
In February 2006 he was appointed Vice President Marketing Pernod
Ricard Asia before becoming Managing Director of Pernod Ricard
Brasil in July 2009. Since September 2012, Bryan has been Managing
Director of Pernod Ricard USA.
NOEL ADRIANManaging Director of Pernod Ricard
Mexico
Noël Adrian holds a degree in Economic Sciences and a Masters
from the Centre d’Etudes du Commerce Extérieur (EUROMED). He joined
Pernod Ricard in 1989 as Export Director of Cusenier & Crus et
Domaines de France. He became Managing Director of Havana Club
International in 1994 at the creation of the joint venture, based
in Cuba. He then moved to Greece in 2001 as Managing Director of
Pernod Ricard Hellas. In 2005, he was appointed Managing Director
of Pernod Ricard Italia, before becoming Managing Director of
Pernod Ricard Italy-Switzerland cluster in 2009. In September 2011,
Noël Adrian was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Pernod Ricard
EMEA and then became Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Mexico in
July 2014.
THIBAULT CUNYManaging Director of Pernod Ricard
Brasil
Thibault Cuny graduated from EDHEC Business School. After a few
years at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, he joined Pernod
Ricard Holding in October 2003 as Audit and Development Manager. He
was then appointed Executive Vice President – Finance at Pernod
Ricard South Asia in October 2006 and in March 2009 he became Chief
Financial Officer of Pernod Ricard USA. Since August 2012, Thibault
has been Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Brasil.
