PayPal Names New Technology Chief

PayPal Holdings Inc. on Tuesday tapped Sri Shivananda to replace
James Barrese as its chief technology officer.
PayPal said Mr. Barrese is stepping down to take time off. Mr.
Shivananda will also become senior vice president, effective April
1.
Shares fell 1.3% to $33.18 a share in premarket trading.
Mr. Shivananda led eBay Inc.'s platform and infrastructure team
before it split off the PayPal business last year. He has since
been a vice president at PayPal in charge of core technologies.
PayPal said it would also move its payments and identity teams
into its product and engineering division.
