SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Papa John's International Inc. late
Tuesday reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $14.8 million, or 52 cents
a share, versus $13.8 million, or 43 cents a share, in the prior-year period.
Net income for the quarter ended Dec. 30 was $7.74 million, or 27 cents a
share, compared with $13.8 million, or 59 cents a share, a year ago.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for a
per-share profit of 43 cents.
Revenue at the Louisville, Ky.-based pizza restaurant company rose to $283.9
million from $277.9 million a year earlier.
Papa John's affirmed its 2008 per-share earnings guidance of $1.68 to $1.76.
The stock closed the regular session up $1.22, or 5%, at $24.73.
