SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - PC-TEL Inc. late Tuesday reported
fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $3.54 million, or 17 cents a share, above
the 13-cent mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
Adjusted income a year earlier came to $3.26 million, or 16 cents a share.
Net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $9.36 million, or 45 cents a
share, compared with $6.6 million, or 30 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue rose to $19.1 million from $18.1 million a year earlier, compared
with the mean Street view of $21.2 million.
Chicago-based PC-TEL said the $59.7 million sale of its mobility solutions
group closed on Jan. 4. The company said it expects to make a second-quarter tax
payment of around $20 million related to the unit sale.
Shares of the provider of wireless connectivity products and technology
closed the regular session up 7 cents at $6.18 and rose further in after-hours
trading.
