LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Oxford Catalysts Group Plc. said it has signed
a memorandum of understanding with Thailand's state-owned oil and gas company,
PTT Public Co. Ltd., to collaborate on the evaluation and commercialisation of a
technology for upgrading natural gas.
The catalyst innovator for clean fuels said the technology has been tested
against competitive materials in the laboratory and now will be tested in two
commercial side-stream units, with results expected by the end of the year.
If the testing is successful, PTT will conduct an industrial scale field
trial, Oxford Catalysts said.
Oxford Catalysts said the project it will lead to the supply of materials
for future commercial deployment, through a third-party contract manufacturer,
and it expects to receive revenue in the form of license and royalty payments.
The company said it is already working with a major catalyst company to
scale up manufacturing of the materials for commercial deployment.
