ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Medical device maker St. Jude Medical Inc. forecast
Wednesday second-quarter and full-year profit above Wall Street expectations,
following a 27 percent rise in first-quarter profit.
LUFKIN, Texas (AP) -- Lufkin Industries Inc. raised its 2008 earnings target
after backlog increased and the industry outlook improved, the provider of oil
field pumps and power transmissions said Wednesday.
GLENVIEW, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Tool Works Inc., which makes industrial
products and equipment, on Wednesday offered a second-quarter guidance range
largely above analyst expectations.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Credit card company Alliance Data Systems Corp. said
Wednesday it expects its first-quarter profit to range between 98 cents and $1
per share, citing strong business growth.
CHESNUT RIDGE, N.Y. (AP) -- Electronic testing equipment maker LeCroy Corp.
on Wednesday backed its fiscal 2008 revenue prediction of $155 million to $165
million.
