OSLO (Thomson Financial) - The Oslo Bors said it has placed Aker Yards ASA
under a matching halt after the stock surged 20 percent in afternoon trade.
The Norwegian stock exchange said the matching halt -- the temporary
suspension of trading in a company's stock -- has been implemented while
officials investigate unusual share price movements.
At 1:20 p.m., shares in the Norwegian shipbuilder were up 20.57 percent at
85 crowns, while the OSEBX benchmark index was 0.34 percent lower at 475.51.
It was not immediately clear what caused the jump in share price.
