MALVERN, Pa. (AP) - Orthopedic and surgical product maker Orthovita Inc.
said Monday board members Joseph Harris, Robert Levande and Russell Whitman
resigned in July.
The company did not give a reason for the resignations.
Orthovita named R. Scott Barry, Paul Thomas and William Tidmore to the
board.
Barry joins the board in connection with the closing of a $32.5 million
equity offering with Essex Woodlands Health Ventures as the lead investor. Barry
is a principal at Essex.
Thomas is chief executive and chairman at LifeCell Corp., which makes tissue
repair products for reconstructive and orthopedic surgery. Tidmore is former
president and chairman of DePuy, an orthopedic company acquired by Johnson &
Johnson in 1999.
