LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Oriel Resources Plc. said its full-year pretax
loss widened to $33.7 million from $7.2 million because of higher administrative
costs, but reported revenues of $36.3 million against nil a year earlier.
The London-based chrome and nickel mining company also confirmed its
shareholders have accepted Mechel OAO's cash offer of about 749 million pounds
for the company.
It said administrative expenses for the year to end-December rose to 32.15
million pounds from 5.85 million pounds last year.
