PARIS (Thomson Financial) - France Telecom unit Orange is to sell the new
version of Apple Inc.'s iPhone for 149 euros to contract customers in France,
Les Echos reported without citing its sources.
According to the business daily, Orange will subsidise the price of the
phone and in return Apple will no longer claim a share of sales.
The current version of the iPhone, launched at the end of November in
France, is sold by Orange for 399 euros.
Apple unveiled the new 3G version of its iPhone last month, saying it would
be priced from $199 in the United States.
