PARIS (Thomson Financial) - France Telecom said its Orange unit will price
the new version of Apple Inc.'s iPhone from 149 euros when it exclusively
launches the phone in France on July 17.
France Telecom also said that subscribers upgrading from the existing iPhone
will be offered a preferential price.
The statement confirms a report published in Les Echos.
The newspaper also claimed Orange will be subsidising the price of the new
iPhone but in return will no longer have to give a share of revenues to Apple.
