SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Optium Corp. late Thursday reported an
adjusted third-quarter profit of $1.7 million, or 7 cents a share, a penny above
the mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Adjusted profit in the year-earlier period was $4.56 million, or 17 cents a
share.
On a net basis the company posted a third-quarter loss of $662,000, or 3
cents a share, compared with $800,000, or 3 cents a share, the prior year.
Revenue for the quarter ended May 3 rose to $45 million from $34.5 million a
year earlier, versus the mean analyst estimate of $44 million.
The company sees fourth-quarter revenue of $47 million to $49 million.
Optium expects to complete its merger with Finisar Corp. in the third
calendar quarter.
Optium shares closed the regular session up 5.7% at $11.58.
