SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Openwave Systems late Thursday reported
fiscal second-quarter net earnings of net income $4.87 million, or 6 cents a
share, or an adjusted loss of $4.9 million, or 6 cents a share.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for a
per-share loss of a penny.
In the comparable period last year, Openwave posted a net loss of $15.8
million, or 17 cents per share, and an adjusted loss of $4 million, or 4 cents a
share.
Revenue in the three months ended Dec. 31 fell to $63.2 million from $75.7
million. Analysts were lokign for revenue of $64 million.
Shares of Redwood City, Calif.-based Openwave, a maker of software products
and services, close the regular session up 9.7% at $2.50.
