NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of utilities rose shortly after the opening bell
Monday, as investors gauged the effect of lower oil and natural gas prices on
the sector's expenses.
Here is how some utilities fared in early trading.
Allegheny Energy Inc. rose 59 cents to $49.12.
Pepco Holdings Inc. rose 4 cents to $24.64.
Consolidated Edison Inc. rose 5 cents to $40.86.
Southern Co. rose 1 cent to $36.14.
