NEW YORK (AP) - Commercial bank stocks were mixed in morning trading Monday,
while the broader market declined, as Wall Street reacted negatively to weekend
news that Microsoft Corp. withdrew its bid for Yahoo Inc.
Acquisitions are normally seen as boons to shareholder value.
Here's how some shares of commercial banks are trading:
National City Corp., down 10 cents, to $6.40.
Wachovia Corp., down 21 cents to $29.87.
First Horizon National Corp., up 15 cents to $11.28.
Zions Bancorp., up 23 cents to $48.94.
