Open interest stood at 529,244 contracts in April 2008. Each single stock futures (SSF) contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock. The top five SSF contracts by volume in April were: Ford Motor Company F1C 17,845 ADC Telecommunications ADC1C 14,978 Texas Instruments TXN1C 12,736 DuPont DD1C 12,105 Duke Energy Corp. DUK1C 12,000
The Exchange lists 694 futures on single stocks, Exchange Traded Funds, including 1 ETF of the 100 share size, and 18 ETFs of the 1,000-share size, as well as 8 OneChicago Select Indexes, a series of customer-designed narrow-based security index futures. OneChicago rules permit block and EFP trading and a substantial percentage of the Exchange's volume results from such trades.
