services holding company, announced the launch of its “Summer of
Help & Hope” borrower outreach event effort to help struggling
homeowners explore how to better afford and remain in their homes.
This initiative is part of Ocwen’s continued efforts to bring
responsible mortgage solutions to struggling homeowners in their
local communities across the U.S.
"Not everyone has benefited from the improvements
in the economy. Ocwen remains committed to its long-established
practice of working with respected non-profit organizations that
offer expert advice and relief to Ocwen borrowers who need a
solution to maintain the dream of owning their home,” said Jill
Showell, Senior Vice President of Government and Community
Relations at Ocwen.
Ocwen customers who attend these events will meet
one-on-one with Ocwen Home Retention Agents and U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development-approved housing counseling agencies
to discuss each customer’s unique situation and provide information
about potential options to lower their mortgage payments. Event
attendees will also receive assistance ranging from help preparing
their Request for Mortgage Assistance (RMA) package to information
on state and federal foreclosure assistance programs.
