LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Civil engineering firm North Midland Construction PLC (NMD.LN) Tuesday said it has been chosen by Severn Trent PLC (SVT.LN) to provide design and construction services for two contracts worth GBP700 million over 10 years.
The company said its Nomenca unit was chosen by Severn Trent as contractor for a sewerage works in the east of England. The contract involves upgrading and replacing sewers, pumping stations, flood alleviation schemes and storm water tanks.
The second contract covers upgrades to a water treatment plant.
Both contract start in April.
At 1537 GMT, shares in North Midland Construction were flat at 155 pence, underperforming a higher FTSE Fledgling index, up 0.02%.
