OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Norsk Hydro ASA said it is to acquire Alumafel
Group, a privately-owned aluminium building systems firm, for 77 million euros.
"The acquisition of Alumafel represents another step in the development of
Hydro's profitable downstream operations, following two years of successful
restructuring internally," the Norwegian firm said.
Alumafel's posted sales of approximately 110 million euros last year, and
employs more than 500 people.
