SEATTLE, May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE:JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced plans to open a 35,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack at The Rim shopping center in San Antonio, Texas in fall 2008. Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering savings of 30 to 75 percent on apparel and accessories for women, men and children, including one of the most extensive collections of name-brand shoes available.

The Nordstrom Rack at The Rim will be the retailer's first Rack store in the San Antonio area and the second Rack in the state. Nordstrom also operates one full-line store in San Antonio at the Shops at La Cantera, situated across I-10 from The Rim. The retailer currently has six other full-line stores across Texas and one Nordstrom Rack at Preston Shepard Place in Plano, Texas.
The Rim is located near the northeast corner of Interstate Highway 10 West and Loop 1604 in the city's northwest growth corridor.
