STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Network equipment vendor Nokia Siemens Networks said Tuesday it will transfer around 170 employees and the provisioning of global IT application management services to Accenture (ACN), Tieto (TIE1V.HE) and Wipro (WIT).
Nokia Siemens Networks, a joint venture between Finland's Nokia Corp. (NOK) and Germany's Siemens AG (SI), said it expects the transfer to be finalized on Feb. 1, 2010.
Nokia Siemens Chief Information Officer Manfred Immitzer said the deal will increase his company's flexibility, adding that it has partnered with Accenture, Tieto and Wipro over a number of years.
Under the agreements, Accenture will provide application management services for human resources and financial control, Tieto for R&D and care related applications, and Wipro for SAP, delivery, marketing and sales, as well as product data management applications.
