Nokia Corp. said Tuesday it has appointed Igor Leprince to lead
its services business at Nokia Networks, effective November 4,
2014.
Mr. Leprince is currently the Senior Vice President and Head of
Middle East & Africa for Nokia Networks where he has been
responsible for all sales and operations in the region. He will
continue to lead Middle East & Africa until a successor is
appointed.
The previous head of Global Services, Eva Elmstedt, will leave
the company at the end of the year for personal reasons.
The company added that it has been selected by Airtel-Vodafone
as sole supplier for its 4G network in the Channel Islands.
It said the operator is making a multimillion pound investment
in the Channel Islands to upgrade its services. Nokia Networks will
be providing all the equipment and services for the installation of
4G.
Airtel-Vodafone expects 4G services to be available in the first
half on 2015.
