Next Inning Technology Updates Outlooks for SiRF Technology, Texas Instruments, Microchip Technology, and SanDisk

PRINCETON, N.J., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Inning Technology Research (http://www.nextinning.com/), a subscription service focused on semiconductor and technology stocks, announced it has updated outlooks for SiRF Technology (NASDAQ:SIRF), Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN), Microchip Technology (NASDAQ:MCHP), and SanDisk (NASDAQ:SNDK).

Earnings season is when Editor Paul McWilliams is at his best. In his weekly earnings previews, McWilliams advised subscribers to buy Flextronics, Harmonic, and NetLogic, all of which moved higher after announcing stellar quarters. His preview for the week of February 4th will be available by signing up for a free trial:

In his earnings preview, Editor Paul McWilliams wrote: "With its purchase of Centrality, SiRF made its only viable play -- offensive or defensive. For SiRF it was either enter the 'motherchip market' or watch as a competing motherchip company like Broadcom eats its GPS lunch. Well, maybe not quite that dramatic -- it would have probably been a slow and painful downward spiral.."

McWilliams also looks at these topics:

-- What critical question does McWilliams expect analysts on the SiRF conference call will pose, and what sort of answer does he think will be required by SiRF executives to avoid a sell-off?

-- Why might Texas Instruments be particularly well positioned to benefit from prevailing trends in the semiconductor industry in 2008?

-- Based on his forecast for the markets moving to NAND Flash during the next two years, does McWilliams believe it's time to buy SanDisk to leverage these changes?

-- Microchip is up 10% since McWilliams called it a "buy" in mid-January. Is he still bullish after recent gains?

Founded in September 2002, Next Inning's model portfolio has returned 273% since its inception versus 85% for the Nasdaq.
