WASHINGTON, March 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rolling Easter eggs on the White House South Lawn is a celebrated tradition in our Nation's Capital. For more than a century, Presidents and First Ladies have opened the gates of the White House and hosted the festivities which now include games, food, music and the distribution of very special souvenirs -- colorful wooden eggs signed by the President and First Lady which are given to each child who attends the event and are available for public sale through the National Park Foundation.
The design of this year's souvenir eggs was unveiled today at the White House Easter Egg Rol1 and can be ordered online through the National Park Foundation (http://www.nationalparks.org/). The souvenir eggs are available in four springtime colors and all net proceeds help benefit National Park Service activities, services, or events connected with the White House. These delightful collectibles are produced in a limited quantity and will not be reproduced once they are sold out.
Eggs are also available for sale at the White House Visitor Center by the White House Historical Association.
