National Express Group PLC ("National Express" or "the Group") is a leading international public transport operator, with bus, coach and rail services in the UK, Continental Europe, North Africa and North America.

Further to the announcement made on 10 October 2014 (RNS Number: 9266T), National Express Group PLC today announces that Jez Maiden, Group Finance Director since 2008, will step down from the Board with effect from 31 December 2014 to join the Board of Croda International Plc as an Executive Director on 1 January 2015.

Matthew Ashley, currently interim Group Finance Director, will remain in this role to ensure continuity and an orderly handover until the Board concludes its search for Jez Maiden's replacement. This search is actively underway and is considering both internal and external candidates.
