MIAMI, Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global video
production and distribution company, Natcom, today announced its
launch of its latest offering of video content, FYI News, to
deliver trending news for digital audiences.
FYI News is being produced in English, Spanish, and Portuguese,
as well as two formats for consumption on publisher sites and
social platforms, which are optimized for mobile viewing.
"FYI News will be distributed to publishers in two formats to
allow viewers to enjoy and connect with the news content regardless
of the device or the outlet," said Mario
Pascual, Natcom's Managing Director of International Content
and Technology. "We are very pleased with the breadth of news
content that we are providing at a premium level of
production."
Topics covered include breaking news, technology news, sports
news, celebrity news, special coverage and investigative stories.
Joining forces with Agencia EFE, the fourth largest news service in
the world, FYI News counts on over 3,000 journalists worldwide to
source news stories of special interest to audiences around the
world.
"FYI News combines the quality of journalistic material that EFE
generates from 120 countries to produce agile digital video formats
that enable audiences to be informed of the most important events,"
said Emilio Sanchez, Agencia EFE
Director of Business Development.
Natcom created the product to meet the growing demand for news
in short video formats on digital and social platforms. According
to the American Press Institute, Millennials mostly get their news
through social media and regularly follow 10 different news
topics.
Natcom's CEO, Robert J.
Rodriguez, stated, "We're excited to launch FYI News powered
by Agencia EFE, a global leader in news-related content. I'm
confident we have the right product for the new digital video,
mobile-centric consumer getting more of their news on the go."
With its FYI News product, Natcom is working with media outlets,
including publishers, telecommunications companies, and
digital-out-of-home networks looking to expand their content
supply, attract traffic to their platforms, and increase their
monetization opportunities.
"For many publishers, it is difficult to produce a high volume
of compelling video content that stands out and is relevant in a
fast-paced digital world," stated Mario
Pascual.
Natcom's production of FYI News amounts to 120 daily digital
videos covering three languages and two formats. Videos are up to
one minute in length and are produced with text and background
music for viewing with or without sound. Initially, the focus is
Latin America, including
Brazil with a Portuguese feed, the
U.S., and Africa for English- and
Spanish-speaking audiences; In Q4 of 2016, FYI News will expand to
China and India. In addition to global news, FYI News
will focus on Latin America as a
key region of coverage and editorial priority.
