Major commercial insurer renews contract of
NaviNet Open and adds NantHealth’s Document Exchange solution
to their rolodex
NantHealth, Inc.(NASDAQ-GS: NH), a next-generation,
evidence-based, personalized healthcare company, announced today
that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE),a
NantHealth client since 2010, and the largest commercial insurer in
the state of Nebraska, has signed a three-year contract extension
for NaviNet Open.
Along with extending their contract, BCBSNE adds
NantHealth’s NaviNet Open Document Exchange solution to
its existing NantHealth solution line which currently includes
NaviNet Open application subscriptions such as Eligibility &
Benefits, Claim Status, and Single Sign-On (SSO) enablement.
“As adoption of value-based care programs continues to grow
among payers and providers, there is a critical need to establish
more collaborative partnerships,” said Dr. Patrick
Soon-Shiong, founder and CEO of NantHealth. “As a result, we must
find ways to enrich the collaboration between payers
and providers. This is where technology will step up to play a
big part in that role. We’re looking forward to our continued
partnership with BCBSNE and are excited to onboard them with the
NaviNet Open Document Exchange solution.”
BCBSNE was an original Beta partner for the NaviNet Open
platform, and as part of the renewal, the company has become the
latest NantHealth payer client to purchase the NaviNet Open
Document Exchange solution, with the plan to use it to facilitate
e-delivery of fee schedules.
NaviNet Open Document Exchange enables a HIPAA-safe
exchange of clinical information among multiple medical management,
informatics, and care delivery teams with the goal of
empowering health plans to better communicate and engage with
their provider networks in real-time. The flexible solution allows
providers to easily access, review, modify, and return documents in
pursuit of population health and fee-for-value program initiatives.
By meshing clinical intelligence with administrative workflows,
NaviNet Open Document Exchange enables effective payer-provider
collaboration to improve patient outcomes and boost efficiency.
