SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Nanometrics Inc. after Tuesday's closing
bell reported it swung to a third-quarter net profit of $2 million, or 11 cents
a share, from a net loss of $6.57 million, or 40 cents a share, during the year
earlier.
The Milpitas, Calif.-based supplier of metrology equipment to the
semiconductor industry posted net revenue of $38.6 million compared with $29.1
million last year.
Shares of Nanometrics closed the regular session up about 5.4% at $10.95.
The stock was up more than 3% in after-hours trading.
