HLS, the founding CommonHealth medical-education unit,
today announced the addition of five new hires to manage the agency's
continued growth.

Carol Hudson joins HLS as a senior vice president, professional
relations. In this position, she will lead account management and
provide direction for her teams. Ms. Hudson will also identify
business opportunities with new and existing clients. Ms. Hudson comes
to HLS with a pharmacy degree and extensive agency, industry and
market-research experience. Prior to joining, HLS Ms. Hudson was
employed as vice president at Synovate Healthcare, the market-research
arm of Aegis Group, in Florham Park.
Elizabeth Myatt comes to HLS as a vice president, professional
relations. In this role, Ms. Myatt will serve as client liaison and
internal team leader to drive overall business planning and
development. Additionally, she will monitor project details, provide
team direction, update clients of project status and ensure quality
control. Most recently, Ms. Myatt held two simultaneous management
positions at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America in New York
City--vice president of patient and professional services, and chief
technology officer.
William Matikiewicz, M.D., joins HLS as a medical director. Dr.
Matikiewicz will be responsible for providing scientific, clinical and
therapeutic area expertise to his assigned brand teams, and build
relationships with clinical and research executives and academic
opinion leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Matikiewicz will
also plan and manage scientific presentations and publications, while
helping to develop medical-education programs for HLS. Previously, Dr.
Matikiewicz was the consulting scientific director at PharmAdura, a
medical-education agency in Orangeburg, NY.
Jeffrey Jones joins HLS as a medical writer. Mr. Jones will be
responsible for conceptualizing and writing for educational and
promotional projects including newsletters, journal articles,
executive summaries and Web site content. Previously, Mr. Jones was a
medical writer for Interactive Network for Continuing
Education/Advanced Communication and Education, a medical-education
agency located in Cranbury.
Karen Auteri comes to HLS as a program coordinator. In this role,
Ms. Auteri will create weekly status reports and chair status meetings
for her assigned programs. Additionally, she will track each stage of
each project to ensure deadlines are met and approvals are received by
faculty and accreditors. Most recently, Ms. Auteri was employed as an
account executive at TMP Direct, a directional-marketing agency
located in Mount Olive.
