LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Minco Plc. on Thursday reported additional
"encouraging" results from ongoing drilling at the Pallas Green project, in
Limerick, Ireland. The project is a joint venture with Xstrata Zinc.
It said the ongoing drilling continues to extend the mineralised deposit at
Tobermalug -- the mineralized zone covers an area of about 400,000 sq metres --
and the overall Pallas Green target area within which a number of massive
sulphide deposits have now been discovered.
The deposits in the Caherconlish area, where drilling is currently focused
with 14 drill rigs in operation, (including the Tobermalug zone) remains open to
the south, the east and the west, it added.
