Trading Update and Notice of Results
The Board of John Menzies announces the following trading update
for the year ended 31 December 2016.
We are pleased to report that, since the previous update
provided on 23 November 2016, trading across the Group continues to
meet the Board's expectations.
At Menzies Aviation, the division continues to trade well
supported by continuing contract win and renewal momentum across
the network and particularly at London Gatwick, following the
withdrawal of a competitor from the UK market.
The acquisition of ASIG continues to progress to plan. We are in
advanced discussions with the Competition and Markets Authority
(CMA) and we expect to be able to complete the deal in the coming
weeks. A further announcement will be made when appropriate.
At Menzies Distribution our new management team is in place,
with Greg Michael having started on 1 January 2017, as previously
announced and trading is in line with our expectations.
Overall, the Group is continuing to make progress with its
strategic objectives and is well placed to deliver further earnings
growth during 2017.
Notice of Results
The Group will announce its final results for the year ended 31
December 2016, on 8 March 2017.
