VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Meinl Airports International Limited (MAI) said
it will hold a 67 percent interest in Parma's Giuseppe Verdi airport after
So.Ge.A.P., the Italian airport's management company, selected MAI as its
private partner.
In a press release, MAI said it will invest 20.5 million euros as part of
So.Ge.A.P.'s planned capital increase and will also provide the airport
management company with a loan of 17 million euros.
The airport's additional capital needs of a further 62 million euros will be
covered through debt financing and its cash flow, a MAI spokeswoman told Thomson
Financial News.
In total, some 290 million euros will be invested in the Parma airport over
the next 20 years, of which 180 million euros will be provided by So.Ge.A.P.
