SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Medifast Inc. said Monday it has
received approval to sell Medifast Weight Control Centers franchises in seven
additional states: California, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Rhode
Island and Virginia.
In all, Medifast said it is now approved to sell franchises in 43 states.
Shares of Owings Mills, Md.-based Medifast fell 2 cents to $3.85.
