LONDON (Thomson Financial) - MediaZest Plc. reported a wider first-half
pretax loss, but said it expects an improved performance in the second half.
The company said its pretax loss for the six months to end-June widened to
342,000 pounds from 223,000 pounds, while revenue rose to 2.1 million pounds
from 1.8 million last year.
The company said it expects the longer term opportunities cultivated over
the past two years to begin to bear fruit in 2009. However, the out-of-home
market remains in its development stage and is vulnerable to the market and
financial conditions being experienced currently, the company added.
Several projects expected to complete in the first half were delayed into
July 2008, which coupled with improved trading in the third quarter of 2008,
gives the company confidence for a better performance during the second half.
