SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Marchex Inc. late Thursday reported
fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $3.39 million, or 8 cents a share, above the
6-cent mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
Adjusted earnings the prior-year quarter were $5.07 million, or 13 cents a
share.
In the quarter ended Dec. 31 the company swung to a net loss of $774,165, or
2 cents a share, versus $4.97 million, or a loss of a penny a share, a year
earlier.
Revenue for the quarter rose to $37 million from $32.6 million, versus the
mean Street view of $35 million.
The company sees first-quarter revenue of more than $35.5 million and 2008
revenue of more than $150 million.
The Seattle-based search and media company's shares closed the regular
session down 21 cents at $7.51 but rose 41 cents to $7.92 in after-hours
trading.
