    Management share purchase

    Bateman Engineering announces that Jonathan Edward (Eddie) Du Rand (CEO Designate) has on
30 June 2008 acquired 15,000 shares in the
Company at a purchase price of 170 pence per share.

    Eddie Du Rand's appointment as Chief Executive Officer and executive director will be
proposed to shareholders at an extraordinary
general meeting to be held on 25 July 2008 in Amsterdam.
